We use ACS / Xerox / Conduent (now called AVENU) for recording of our land records.  Our land records index is computerized with all images attached and available digitally.   WE HAVE 85+ YEARS OF LAND RECORDS AVAILABLE ONLINE 1937 - PRESENT !!!  

Our mylars / maps are now also computerized from maps 1 - 453-B (through Oct. 2021)

The new Vital Records Modernization Act (ACT46) will take effect on July 1, 2019

Registering to vote is important - and quite simple to do!  If you are 18 years of age, and a Highgate resident, we look forward to adding you to our checklist!     YOU CAN NOW REGISTER TO VOTE ONLINE - CLICK ON VOTER REGISTRATION (ABOVE).    Same day voter registration is also available at the polls.

Information on obtaining a marriage license

* cost is $80.00 plus $10.00 for a certified copy  (PRICE CHANGE EFFECTIVE 7/1/23)

* marriage licenses are valid for 60 days once issued

* Vermont marriage licenses can now be obtained from ANY TOWN CLERK in the State of Vermont, effective 7/1/22
